Bofur is an adorable, little Dwarf rabbit who was found outside as a stray either lost or abandoned. We don't know his history or his exact age unfortunately, just that he's a lovely rabbit. Bofur is a curious and outgoing wee guy who does fairly well with being picked up and handled and would be a great addition to a home. He's curious and likes to explore his enclosure. He is also very good about using his litter box, and pretty clean overall. Bofur has been neutered and is now ready to find his fur-ever home. Could it be with you?Rabbits require special housing, diet, and care. Adopters will need to show knowledge of this to help little Bofur have a happy and healthy life. An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal. Please note due to the current COVID-19 pandemic our adoption process has changed. Boots is a cute kitten who came into the SPCA tiny and in need of help. She had terrible skin irritation and a possible upper respiratory infection when she came in. With some much needed vet care, medication, and tender loving care in a foster home she thankfully recovered and is now big and strong and ready for her fur-ever home. She is full of love and has lots of energy for playtime.Adopting a kitten is a lifetime commitment, a commitment that will bring a life full of love. Kittens need lots of toys and enrichment plus a proper diet and regular vet care as they grow. Tali is a beautiful young tabby looking for her chance at a fur-ever home. She sadly was surrendered to the SPCA when her previous owner was no longer able to keep her. Tali is a sweet, shy little lady who initially might be a bit nervous in a new environment but given time to adjust and get comfortable she will come out of her shell for you and show what a loving, curious, and playful young cat she can be. Tali would do best in a home without very young kids since she can be easily scared by a lot of action and noise. Calm, older, cat savvy kids may be fine given time. Tali may also be able to get used to other animals with proper, slow introductions though there could be a bit of growling and grumbling initially. She would also be purrfectly happy as the only pet getting all the attention. Tali loves attention and catnip and can't wait to find her new family to share her love. Could you be her purr-fect match? An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal. Sunshine, and her daughter Patches, are a pair of extremely loving and affectionate ladies looking for their fur-ever home where they can grow old together and share their boundless love with their humans. They've sadly lost their home at least twice through no fault of their own and are hoping that the third time is the charm. Could you be their fur-ever family? These sweet seniors are both adorable and amazing and will make someone very lucky. Sunshine is the more outgoing of the two and instantly feels right at home wherever she is. She is very outgoing, friendly, and affectionate and will be a wonderful companion. As far as we know they haven't lived wth children before so would probably do best in a home without really young kids since Patches can be a bit shyer. We're not sure if they've lived with other animals but could maybe get used to them if they are calm and easygoing and with proper, slow introductions. Patches and Sunshine would make great feline friends for a senior(s) looking for cuddle buddies who just want to relax and enjoy the finer things in life. Both Patches and Sunshine required dental surgeries when they came into the SPCA and aren't ready to go to their new home until they are recovered but will hopefully be ready to go within the next couple of weeks. In the meantime until they are ready, they would love to meet you and we bet you won't be able to stop yourself from falling in love with this super sweet pair.An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal. Morticia, more often known as Morty, is a sweet and friendly tabby cat looking for a calm, quiet home where she can relax and be loved. This sweet, affectionate girl was sadly surrendered to the SPCA when she started inappropriately urinating outside of her litter box in her previous home. Her urinalysis was clear and the vet believes her accidents were likely due to environmental stress in the home. Morty did live with several other animals in her previous home which may have been too much for her so she is looking for a calm, quiet home where she can get all the love to herself as the only pet. A home without young kids would also be ideal as she can be a bit nervous of lots of noise and action. Morty is very loving and enjoys lots of cuddles and attention. Currently there is a bit too much of her to love though as she's got some extra pounds and it would really help her if she shed some of the weight. An adopter should be prepared to keep Morty on a proper diet to promote urinary health and weight loss plus keep her active. With proper care in a loving home Morty will flourish and provide years of love and companionship to a lucky guardian. Could you be the one to give this plus sized gal a fresh start? An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal. Marbles is an absolutely lovely lady looking for that amazing fur-ever home where she can share her boundless love. She is a very sweet and outgoing cat who will make a great companion and adjusts quickly to new environments and people. She would love to cuddle up with you and get lots of attention. Marbles was surrendered to the SPCA through no fault of her own but sadly due to an allergy in the home. She is used to being an indoor only cat and should continue as such. She has lived with another cat before and could likely live with other animals with proper slow, introductions. Due to her necessary diet it may be best, however, that she be the only cat in the home. Marbles has a previous history of bladder stones and urinary issues. Due to this, and to prevent issues in the future, it is very important that Marbles be fed a vet recommended urinary diet (ideally mainly canned food). She also is a bit of a plus sized gal and it would help keep her healthy if she trimmed down a bit to a more ideal weight. Her new guardian(s) will need to make sure she sticks to a strict diet which may be more easily achieved if she is the only feline in the home. Thankfully with her diet she hasn't had any urinary issues recently and is overall a very happy lady just looking for some love. Could you be the purr-fect match for this sweetheart? Diesel and his sibling were very timid when they first arrived, but they soon realized that people are lots of fun! Diesel is very friendly now and loves tummy rubs. Diesel is independent and doesn't love to sit still very long for snuggles unless he is tuckered out from playing and adventures first. When he has burned off some energy, he likes lots of pets and enjoys being picked up - his foster mama says he's a purr machine! He is a very outgoing and affectionate young cat now who will make a great companion. He likely could get used to kids with some adjustment and will enjoy endless play time. Diesel is very active and plays well with his brother, so would probably be suitable for a household with other cats after slow, careful introductions. He has a bit of a sensitive tummy, so his new family should be prepared to help him find food options that don't cause an upset stomach and Diesel should be indoor-only. **Diesel is not ready to go home just yet as we are waiting for some test results but he will soon be ready to go.Adopting a kitten is a lifetime commitment which will bring a lot of love into your life. Kittens need lots of enrichment with a variety of toys, scratching posts, and lots of playtime. They also need a lot of attention and cuddles. As they grow, it will be important to keep up with regular vet care - vaccines, deworming, etc. If you're ready for all this cuteness, fill out an adoption application and submit it online today: https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-kamloops/An adoption counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal. Please note: due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our adoption process has changed. Meet Neo!Neo is looking for his new forever home! Neo can be a little nervous when he first meets people but once he warms up he is a playful, loving boy. Neo knows some basic tricks such as sit, shake, and lie down. However, he is still learning some other basic manners so will need a patient guardian that is willing to take the time to work on somethings with him. Neo is an energetic dog that will require proper exercise and mental stimulation. He loves to play fetch, explore, and snuggle up for belly rubs!Neo would do best in a home with no small children. Older children and teens should be fine if they know how to interact with dogs calmly and respectfully. He will also require to be the only pet in the home. We have been working on his social skills when it comes to meeting other dogs, but it is a work in progress so he will continue to require proper, controlled, slow introductions. Going to formal obedience classes would definitely be a good thing, not only for the learning but it is a good bonding opportunity for his new guardian.Could you be the right fit for Neo?A behavior counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal to ensure success.

Colette is looking for her fur-ever family!Colette was found as a stray wandering and brought in by a good samaritan who wanted her to find a happy home before winter. She is a lovely young lady - curious, playful, affectionate, and occasionally very sassy! Colette has a wild side with lots of energy to burn and can sometimes be quite feisty, so she'll need a family that's willing to give her lots of toys, playtime, and enrichment. She can definitely be very fun. Since we don't know her history, we can't say for sure how she'd do with other pets. She may be able to adapt to a multi-pet home with slow and careful introductions, and might even enjoy another playful cat with enough time (expect some attitude to begin with). Due to her energy and somewhat unpredictable nature, Colette would be best suited to a home with no small children. She takes some time to adjust to new environments and people and may initially be a little hissy. Given time to adjust though this beautiful girl will bring tons of love and entertainment to your home. If you think Colette might be the kitty for you, please submit an application: https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-kamloops/An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal. Please visit spca.bc.ca/adoption/how-to-adopt/ for more information. ***Due to the high number of applications we receive for our animals, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their application. Kai is a friendly, sociable, well-mannered dog who loves to be with her people. She can be initially timid and needs to be introduced to people and new situations slowly. Kai recently recovered from TPLO surgery on her left knee. She's fully healed but she may need a 2nd surgery down the road for her other knee. So her future guardian(s) must be prepared to take on such a big vet bill (approx surgery cost is around $6,500 +) She loves to be with people and tends to have anxiety when left alone for too long. So she will need to get used to spending time alone slowly a few minutes at a time. She tends to whine when left alone. Once Kai gets past her timidness, she's such a sweetheart that is absolutely obsessed with toys! She's not a fan of swimming but enjoys her walks and car rides. Kai has done well with other dogs, cats and young kids. She is looking for a guardian who can spend lots of time with her. She will make a wonderful companion to a lucky guardian! Brewster is a LARGE, sweet boy that is looking for his new furr-ever home. He loves being around people and thinks he's a lap dog. He appears to be full house trained and knows some basic obedience. So far he gets along with a few of the other dogs here at the Kamloops shelter but he would prefer to be the only dog in his future home. Brewster would probably do fine in a home with older kids. We don't know what he would be like around other types of animals (i.e cats, horses). Brewster does appear to have some allergies and requires a special diet to help manage them, as well as to keep him at a healthy weight. He gets easily over excited when meeting new people. So he needs a guardian that's willing to work on some basic manners with him. A home that can also provide lots of exercise and outings is a must for this busy boy. Going to formal obedience classes would definitely be a good thing, not only for the learning but it's a good bonding opportunity for his new guardian. If you would like to know more about Brewster please speak with shelter staff. A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal to help ensure success in the new home.
