Therapists from Okanagan Clinical Counselling Services and Stepping Stones Counselling Group have teamed up to provide free mental health check-ups to frontline workers.
The select therapists will provide 30 minute sessions, focused on four main areas:
- How are you doing?
- What do you need?
- What coping skills do you have?
- What resources or strategies are available to you right now?
"Our goal is to ensure that they have an immediate and safe place to address stress and current mental health concerns," says clinical director at Okanagan Clinical Counselling Services Nicole Conboy.
All participating counsellors are masters level clinicians who will be volunteering their time.
