Second complaint against Kelowna Mountie

2nd complaint for officer

Turns out this isn't the first time a beleaguered Kelowna RCMP officer has faced a complaint inquiry.

CTV News is reporting that Const. Siggy Pietrzak was the subject of another complaint by Kelowna resident Nathan Stroeder. Stroeder says Pietrzak rushed him at his door while arresting a roommate in 2017.
“Thankfully I was able to slam the door in his face, otherwise I think he would have done the same to me,” Stroeder told CTV News last week. He said he decided to come forward so the public knew more about the officer seen in the video.

Stroeder is calling for more transparency in police discipline.

“There’s nothing top secret about this. And we all have a right to know. We’re all taxpayers,” he said.
Pietrzak was cleared in the Stroeder complaint investigation, which found that Stroeder got in the way of a lawful arrest.

Pietrzak is now at the centre of another investigation after being the third man in on an arrest in downtown Kelowna earlier this month.

Kelowna’s RCMP detachment is also facing scrutiny over the way Mona Wang was treated during a wellness check where she was dragged and had her head stepped on.
