Starting Friday, July 3, all visitors and travellers at Kelowna International Airport will be required to wear masks or face coverings at all times while in the public areas of the terminal.
The only exceptions are children under the age of two, and individuals with medical conditions that prevent mask usage.
The new requirements are due to an increase in air service and passengers.
"The airport remains focused on ensuring the health and wellbeing of everyone at YLW and is working closely with industry experts and government and health officials to implement Provincial and Federal health recommendations to protect passengers, employees and the community," reads the announcement.
"YLW is regularly reviewing existing safety measures and will adjust as necessary to combat COVID-19."
