Not taking it seriously

Finally, someone in this town who doesn’t live in a bubble of ignorance!

Chris Dyck, you are completely right. No one is doing anything by the rules in this town.

Social distancing is a joke. People haven’t obeyed that rule since the beginning. Masks? As if the vain fools in this town would go out with something as unattractive as a mask on their faces.

From the very beginning, Kelowna residents haven’t taken the COVID-19 pandemic seriously.

I don’t know if they think they are untouchable or are just ignorant, but I do know that it will be a smack in the face when the second wave hits and these people’s reality comes crashing down.

I’ve been self-isolating for five months now (I am a high-risk individual) because I don’t trust the actions of Kelowna’s residents and will continue to do so until a vaccine is found. Sad, yes, but all I can do is protect myself.

Once again, Chris Dyck, it’s nice to know that there is another person out there who actually understands and sees how people are acting. You, are a good person. Stay safe.

Erika Demoskoff, Kelowna
