Absolutely do not ban pit bulls. It isn’t the dog breed that is aggressive, it’s the way they are trained or not trained.
If a dog is neglected, it obviously won’t know how to act around people. If they are trained to attack, that is on the owner – not the dog, they don’t know any better.
Also, we do not know what that man did to the dog. Maybe that dog was the friendliest but that man intimidated it somehow, by kicking or using threatening gestures.
There’s always two sides to a story, and obviously we cannot get a dog’s opinion, but we cannot assume it was the dog's fault.
Maybe they should investigate the owner and see how the dog was brought up, and if it’s a healthy home.
It's outrageous that people think banning a dog will fix problems.
