Oliver Town Hall closed to public while staffer gets COVID-19 test.

Oliver Town Hall has closed to the public while a staff member awaits COVID-19 test results. 

Town chief administrative officer Cathy Cowan said the closure is indefinite. 

"Currently right now it’s precautionary,” Cowan said, explaining that nothing will change until test results are back. “We’ll let everybody know what’s going on.”

Town staff will still be reachable by phone and email. 

Critical and essential services, including fire services, drinking water and wastewater treatment, enforcement of bylaws, recycling and garbage collection will continue.
