Rose Valley wildfire declared 'under control'

Wildfire now 'under control'

The BC Wildfire Service has now deemed the Rose Valley Dam wildfire in West Kelowna “under control.”

The classification means the three-hectare blaze has been suppressed to the point where fire crews do not believe it will spread.

The fire has been held at the three-hectare mark since Monday.

The fire erupted Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. near the Rose Valley Reservoir and was very visible from the surrounding area.
