ORIGINAL 8:55 a.m.

Kelowna RCMP need your help to locate a 14-year-old girl who has been missing since Aug. 9.

The girl went missing just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday, from her residence.

Facebook posts by family appear to show the girl with a man in the lobby of a Kelowna hotel, Sunday night.

Police believe she is in the Kelowna area and may be in the company of an adult male. Police are concerned for her well-being and family report that it is out of character for her to be out of contact for so long.

Hodgins is described as:

  • Caucasian female
  • 14 years old
  • 5 ft 4 in (163 cm)
  • slim build
  • dark brown shoulder length hair
  • Last seen wearing pink shorts, dark shirt and red frame glasses carrying a black and white polka dot backpack but is presumed to have changed to a grey t-shirt and black bicycle shorts

The girl may also be riding a burgundy coloured mountain bicycle.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the 14-year-old-girl is urged to contact their local police, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
