City of West Kelowna releases fall recreation guide

Fall recreation guide arrives

The City of West Kelowna has released its fall recreation guide, offered only online to ensure up-to-date information is provided throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some highlights for this season include the Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre programming, JBMAC pool opening for swimming starting September 14, public skating, Westside Seniors Activity Centre reopening September 8.

The city is continuing to work with BC Recreation and Parks Association to establish socially distanced programs with limited capacities, while following the province's health guidelines.

Because space is limited, people are encouraged to register early as no drop-in programs will be available.

Recreation facilities have implemented enhanced sanitization, hand sanitizers and hand-washing. Class goers can expect reduced class sizes as well as limited access to change rooms.

Those who cannot access the digital guide can call 778-797-8800.
