Local art for sale at the Penticton Art Gallery

The Penticton Art Gallery's annual sale of local art under $500 is off to a busy start, with pieces flying off the shelves. 

Each year, the gallery puts out a call to artists of all kinds to submit three pieces, each to be sold for less than $500. This year, over 600 entries were received, a record for the gallery. Artists range from all over British Columbia, working in a variety of mediums.

Already in the first week, 85 have been sold, so the gallery is urging anyone looking to add something local to their collection or with an art enthusiast on their holiday shopping list to check out the collection sooner rathe than later. 

This year, in light of the pandemic, the full exhibition is available online here, running until Jan. 23, 2021.
