The organizer of a Kelowna protest against COVID-19 measures has been issued a third fine for being in contravention of the provincial Public Health Orders.
Kelowna RCMP responded to the protest on Saturday in the downtown area. Weekly protests over the province's response to the COVID-19 pandemic have been taking place around Kelowna for many months, led and organized by David Lindsay.
This is the second weekend in a row a fine was issued to the organizer of the Kelowna protest, although Castanet has not confirmed if Lindsay was the recipient of Saturday's fine.
In a release sent by Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy, she said the frontline officers of the Kelowna RCMP were present to ensure the safety of the protesters and the rest of the public.
