A Vancouver Island elk is roaming freely again after being caught up in a backyard zip line.
BC Conservation Officer's had to respond after an adventurous elk wound up in a private zip line in a backyard in Youbou B.C., on Vancouver Island over the weekend.
A tweet shared by the BC Conservation Officer Service shows officers disentangling the elk from the homemade zip line after its antlers had become entangled in the contraption. The officer's safely sedated and disentangled the elk and they are reminding everyone to, "properly manage items on your property that could injure or trap wildlife."
