A Kelowna woman has collected the largest instant-ticket prize the British Columbia Lottery Corporation has ever handed out.
Darlene Curylo made a stop at the Circle K Convenience Store on K.L.O. Rd. in Kelowna where she bought a Triple Millions Scratch & Win ticket.
“I was in my car in the parking lot…and I scratched the ticket,” Curylo recalled. “When I saw the amount I was in shock! I just couldn’t believe what I saw.”
Curlyo won a cool $3 million in the Triple Millions, a national scratch and win game. The odds of winning the top prize were one in 1,210,000.
After the win sunk in, Curylo went home and shared her life-changing news with a close friend.
“I showed her the ticket and she said ‘Oh my gosh!’” Curylo said. Next she called her sister who celebrated the win with her over the phone.
Curlyo says she plans to purchase a new home and vehicle. The rest will go into her savings account.
“It is wonderful – it feels so amazing,” Curylo said.
