Sheila E is working on a biopic that she says will reveal the "beautiful story" behind her relationship with Prince.
The singer announced the project in a post on her Facebook page, telling fans the film will be titled Girl Meets Boy, but offering few other details.
"Coming soon - Sheila E. to release Girl Meets Boy, a film telling the beautiful story of her time with Prince. Stay Tuned," she wrote.
The biopic won't be the first time Sheila has remembered Prince, who died in April 2016 aged 57. She previously released a heartfelt piano ballad, also titled Girl Meets Boy, in which she reminisced about her almost four decades as a close confidant of the late musician after meeting him at her concert in 1978.
"I was just a girl and when I saw your face, you were just a boy, but you rocked my world and deep inside, I know that I did the same. I let your love rain down on me," she sang in the tune.
"I still, and always will, provide the rhythm of his music and memory, whether through my music, drums, words, or the beating of my heart."
