A viral video shows a bear chasing a skier on a hill in the popular mountain resort of Predeal, Romania on Jan. 23.

According to Digi24, people in the chairlift were trying to warn the lone skier of the potential danger.

"Faster, faster! Go, the bear is chasing you! Faster! God forbid, don't look back!" people in the chairlift shouted at the skier.

The male made it down safely after throwing his backpack onto the snow to distract the wild animal.
