Shocked by the divisions

I am shocked to see how divided friends, neighbours, family, the local communities that we all once pulled together to support, have become.

It is so sad to see the anger, hatred, pointing of fingers at people we all once admired, or were friendly to.

I am seeing anger and harsh words towards snowbirds, churches, anti-maskers, and freedom marchers.

I thought we lived in a country of the "strong and free."

All this division is exactly what many believe the political leaders' intentions are.

There is mass confusion. It is like a big soap opera the world is playing into.

As far as I can see, people are not dropping dead on the streets.

If you read the wording of the daily press briefings, most deaths have occurred in care facilities. I know many people who supposedly had COVID and have survived, but how many people do you know who were not elderly, or had an underlying health condition or were just in poor health who passed away from it?

People have become so fear stricken that the masses will obey as our rights are dwindling away.

People need to take a step back. The friends, neighbours, family, snowbirds, church-goers are all the same people we loved as individuals a year ago. The fear shows how divided we have become.
