West Kelowna mobile home left severely damaged by Saturday fire

Home 'severely damaged'

UPDATE: 2:20 p.m.

A West Kelowna mobile home suffered “severe damage” in a fire Saturday.

West Kelowna Fire Rescue assistant chief Brent Watson said firefighters arrived to find “heavy fire conditions” at the home in the Paradise Mobile Home Park on Boucherie Road at noon on Saturday.

“The fire was quickly suppressed, but the carport is a total loss and the home itself suffered severe damage along the adjoining wall and smoke in the interior,” Watson said.

“Nobody was living in the home, and the fire remains under investigation at this time. It is believed the owners have insurance.”

There were no injuries to any humans or pets during the fire.
