We are seeing a big spike in the variants of Covid in both BC and Alberta. Thousands of workers are travelling back and forth between their home communities and our Northern communities to work and live in close quarters, putting everybody at risk. Maybe it is time to close them down during this critical time? Why just close churches, restaurants and small businesses?
We are also still in a Climate Emergency so in my opinion the camps should be closed anyway and our tax dollars should be invested in the clean energy projects of the future and not more climate wrecking fossil fuel projects.
