As disgusting as the building are, reminding former residents of bitter times for many, they could represent an opportunity for putting these building to a positive use.

Convert them to shelters for homeless. Ask the first nations if such a conversation would contribute a more positive contribution then just putting a bull dozer through them. When they look at them perhaps they might say at last there is a better result!

I can’t imagine how these first nations feel but if they say yes helping others will go a long way to our healing then lets do it. If they say no they must be destroyed then so be it. It should be their choice.
