A new Vernon market is making its way to Polson Park.

In a news release on the Polson Market website, Mayla Janzen of the Polson Artisan Night Market, says she wants to bring nightlife to the popular park.

“Organizing a market in Vernon came out of a need to address a shortage in culture, nightlife, socialization and a venue for featuring local artisans, producers, and skilled creators,” says Janzen.

The plan is to create a smaller venue that would be present on a regular basis.

The first night of the market will take place over the Canada Day long weekend, on July 2.

Anyone interested in being part of the new endeavour is in luck, because the market is actively looking for vendors to participate in the first night of the Polson Market.

Local vendors who want to sign up are asked to fill out an application on their website.
