A Kamloops-area woman is facing charges in connection with a shooting last fall at a Columbia Street motel.
Emergency crews were called to the Hospitality Inn, 500 Columbia St. W., at about 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 16 for a report of a shooting.
Investigators were told a group of people had been seen in a parking lot in the area when gunshots rang out. One person was injured and treated in hospital.
Jennifer Lindsay Manuel, 38, of Chase, is facing one count of possession of a restricted firearm. She is slated to make her first appearance in Kamloops provincial court on Aug. 26.
