Farmstrong Cider Company ending season early due to chronic staffing shortage

Cidery closing down early

The Farmstrong Cider Company in Armstrong is closing down early for the season.

“Due to the continuing uncertainty with COVID, a chronic staffing shortage, and the looming COVID passport implementation, we at Farmstrong are bidding you bon voyage for now,” the cidery posted on its Facebook page.

“We are canceling all remaining 2021 events.”

Sunday is their last day, and they will be open until 8 p.m.

Farmstrong will still be open Thursdays for cellar sales only, starting Sept. 30 until further notice.

“We want to thank our exceptional staff for their hard work and dedication to Farmstrong and our family, this has been a tough season for everyone, and they are all stars in our eyes,” management wrote.

Earlier this month, when they began having staffing issues, Farmstrong had shirts made that read: “Please, be patient, there’s like 3 of us.”
