Re. Beverley Ryder’s letter Don’t like trees? Move (Castanet, May 18)
I read with some horror that Beverly Ryder, seemingly without irony, said that she moved to Kelowna from Calgary several years ago but now wants to put up a sign that says "Kelowna is full".
I am so glad Kelowna welcomed my family and I in 2003.
At this time you can find stories of how B.C. Interior residents are opening their doors to Ukrainian refugees, and when businesses are saying they need more workers, the last thing we should be doing is pulling up the drawbridge.
The Okanagan isn't Las Vegas. There is plenty of room, plenty of water and plenty of people ready to welcome new locals to our wonderful home.
