Candidate packages can be picked up at the RDCO office at 1450 KLO Road.

Potential candidates in the October municipal elections can now pick up candidate information packages from the Regional District of Central Okanagan.

Packages are available for Central Okanagan East or Central Okanagan West area directors and Zone 1 and Zone 2 school trustee elections and can be picked up at the RDCO office at 1470 KLO Road in Kelowna.

Candidates must be Canadian citizens, at least 18 years of age on election day, have lived in B.C. for six months and not be disqualified from voting for any reason. They also must gather signatures on their nomination papers from ten qualified electors in the jurisdiction where they are seeking election.

Completed nomination forms can be returned to the RDCO chief election officer between 9 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, and 4 p.m. Friday, September 9.
