The whole handgun (ban) is a joke.
It is targeting legal firearms owners who are trained, background checked and monitored.
This is just a ploy by the (federal government) to look good and is not going to change the gun crime situation.
We have illegal firearms coming across the boarder daily. Our rail system is not monitored by border protection. There are 1000s of kilometres of unprotected border entry points.
The announced buy-back is going to cost the country far more than Canadian voters understand.
At our small facility in B.C., with 900 members there would be in access of $120,000 in buy-back eligibility.
