Penticton police seeking help identifying man involved in "suspicious" incident at community pool

Cops seek help with ID

RCMP in Penticton are investigating an unspecified "suspicious" incident at the community centre swimming pool, and are looking for the public's to identify a person of interest.

In October 2022, police were called to the pool and observed a person of interest on CCTV. Police now want to speak to those believed involved.

"Despite significant efforts using multiple different Police services and agencies, investigators have not yet been able to identify one of the people involved,” said Cst. Dayne Lyons, Penticton RCMP media relations officer.

“We always aim to conduct a fulsome investigation and hope the community may be able to help us now.”

The person of interest is described as:

  • 35-40 years old
  • Caucasian male
  • Athletic build of average height
  • Some facial hair or stubble
