Loaded gun, drugs and cash seized as wanted man arrested in Brock, police say

Cops find loaded gun in car

Police say they seized a loaded gun, drugs and cash while arresting a wanted Kelowna man on a residential street in Brocklehurst.

Mounties said they were called to the 700-block of Downie Street just before 7 a.m. on Monday for a report of a vehicle running with its headlights on for a period of hours.

In a news release, RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said a man inside the car was identified as being wanted on warrants from Yellowknife. He was arrested and held for court.

“A search of the vehicle also led to the seizure of a loaded firearm, suspected illegal drugs and cash,” she said.

“That investigation is ongoing and separate from the warrant execution.”

Police said Moose Mohammad Khan, 22, was expected to appear in Kamloops provincial court on Tuesday morning.

Anyone with information about the incident can call police at 250-828-3000.
