Traffic flowing on Highway 33 in Rutland after crashes

Highway 33 and Rutland Road

UPDATE 3:50 p.m.

Highway 33 has now been cleared and traffic is flowing,

Motorists should expect delays while the backlog clears.

ORIGINAL 3:20 p.m.

Highway 33 is closed near Roxby Road in Rutland due to a pair of crashes.

The crashes occurred during the 2 p.m. hour on Highway 33 at the Roxby Road and Rutland Road intersections.

The crash at Rutland Road ended with a car on its roof, while the other at Roxby Road saw a van damaged.

Castanet has reached out to the Kelowna RCMP and will update the story when more information becomes available. It is not clear if the crashes are related in any way.
