Highway 3 collision has route down to single lane near Cranbrook

UPDATE: 3:45 p.m.

The accident scene on Highway 3 east of Cranbrook has been cleared.

Traffic is again moving freely in both directions.

UPDATE: 3:30 p.m.

According to DriveBC, traffic around the crash site is now moving with single lane alternating.

ORIGINAL: 3:15 p.m.

Highway 3 is closed in both directions 1 kilometre east of Cranbrook.

Drive BC indicates a collision has forced the closure between Highway 95A and Ft. Steele Overhead Bridge. Emergency crews are on scene to assess the situation but there is no detour available at this time. Drivers are advised to expect delays.
