Whitewater Ski Resort near Nelson, B.C. is ending its season early due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The ski hill made the announcement Sunday.
“Over the past week, we have tirelessly monitored the situation and implemented various measures to help ensure guest safety; however, this community means a lot to us, and at this time we believe we have a social responsibility to close the resort,” Whitewater said.
Silver Star Ski Resort near Vernon and Whistler Blackcomb both announced week-long closures over the weekend after their American parent companies closed all their North American resorts.
