Search and rescue saves two people in separate incidents

Search and rescue crews on Vancouver Island were busy Thursday evening.

Campbell River Search and rescue was called out to help on the Cape Scott Trail after a woman was unable to walk after making it about eight kilometres from the trailhead.

CTV News Vancouver Island reports the second call came in around 5:30 p.m.when a young man at one of the beaches
at Nels Bight reportedly burned his foot and was unable to walk.

In both incidents, the search and rescue helicopter was required and the patients received assistance from park staff.
