Skiing toddler from Fernie, B.C. featured on CNN

A B.C. family has been featured by CNN after they placed a microphone of their toddler to capture her commentary on the slopes.

Erich Leidums of Fernie, B.C. has gained nearly 70,000 followers on Instagram in the past month after a series of videos of three-year-old Adia Leidums went viral.

Leidums also chronicles “That Mountain Life” on a YouTube channel with his wife Courtney Haeusler.

The couple told CNN they aim to be anti-helicopter parents and placed their children on skis at a very young age.

“Our goal is to raise confident, caring children who are self-aware and I think that comes with taking risks,” Haeusler told CNN.
