For the third-straight day, Lytton has broken the all-time high Canadian temperature record.
Environment Canada says it reached 49.5 C in the Upper Fraser Canyon community at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
On Monday, the mercury in Lytton reached 47.5 C.
For context, the all-time record temperature high in Las Vegas is 47.2 C.
There could be somewhat of a break in the extreme heat Wednesday, with the forecast high in the Upper Fraser Canyon at just 41 C.
