Highway between Christina Lake to 24 km west of Castlegar is now clear

DriveBC is reporting Highway 3 is now open.

ORIGINAL 8:12 a.m.

Highway 3 is closed in both directions due to an accident.

DriveBC is reporting a vehicle incident has closed the road between East Lake Drive and Highway 3B for 37.6 km - one km east of Christina Lake to 24 km west of Castlegar.

The road is estimated to reopen by 10 a.m.
