A woman who was violently attacked by an assailant as she sat in her wheelchair on a Prince George sidewalk is recovering in University Hospital of Northern B.C. with unspecified injuries.
The attack happened just before noon Sunday along Queensway between Fifth Avenue and Patricia Boulevard.
“Police are investigating a violent assault that happened there,” confirmed Prince George RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
Cooper said police are not releasing any other details about the incident at this time.
Anybody who might have witnessed the attack or has information about the incident is asked to call RCMP at 250-561-300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-22-TIPS (8477).
