RCMP are investigating a serious collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 17 and are asking anyone who might have dash cam video that could assist with this investigation to come forward.
The collision took place near the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal on Friday evening.
Police were called at approximately 11:15 p.m. for a report that a pedestrian was struck in a serious collision involving a single vehicle on Highway 17 north of McDonald Park Road in the north bound lane.
According to the Sidney/North Saanich RCMP, the female pedestrian was taken to hospital and she is now in stable condition.
Anyone who witnessed the collision and or the pedestrian in the moments leading up to the collision is asked to please contact the Sidney/North Saanich RCMP at (250) 656-3931.
