Guilty plea to second degree murder in death of Prince George woman

Guilty plea in PG murder

A man faces sentencing after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the death of a Prince George woman.

Dennis Daniel Gladue has entered the plea the death of Christin Marion West, the B.C. Prosecution Service confirms.

West's body was found in her apartment on Aug. 7, 2021, after her family reported her missing.

Shortly after, Gladue was arrested and has remained in custody since.

Second-degree murder is generally defined as a deliberate killing committed without planning. The minimum sentence is life in prison with no parole for 10 years, but sentences can be as long as life in prison without parole for 25 years.

A sentencing hearing for Gladue, who was 36 years at the time of the incident, is scheduled for May 30-31 at the Prince George courthouse.

West was 35 years old at the time of her death.
