B.C.'s civilian based police watchdog is investigating a police-involved injury in Burns Lake.
The action stems from a call to a disturbance on Thursday evening in the community of 1,880 people 226 kilometres west of Prince George.
B.C. RCMP said police used "physical control" when a woman resisted arrest at the home and at the detachment before she was lodged in a cell.
Early the next morning, the woman complained of an injury and ambulance personnel transported her to hospital where it was determined that she had a broken leg.
The Independent Investigations Office was subsequently notified and is now investigating.
