A boat went aground at Octopus Point near Maple Bay on Wednesday and a nearby vessel rescued the one person on board, who was not injured.
The Canadian Coast Guard put a 61-metre oil containment boom around the scene. No pollution was seen in the water on Thursday morning, the federal agency said on social media.
The owner said the vessel was carrying 2,000 litres of diesel fuel.
There are plans for the boat to be refloated. The coast guard said it would continue to monitor the scene.
