Two Okanagan Sun named defensive all-Canadians

Some personal accolades for two members of the Okanagan Sun defensive front seven.

Defensive lineman Cory McCoy and linebacker Tyler Going were named CJFL Defensive All-Canadians Wednesday.

McCoy, who graduated from the club at the end of the season, had 19 tackles, four sacks and knocked down one pass.

Going, 20, amassed 32 tackles, five assisted tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, two interceptions and knocked down two passes.

They join four other BCFC players on the all-Canadian squad.

The other league members include:

  • Defensive back Kyle Clarot – Langley Rams
  • Defensive back Maleek Womack – Westshore Rebels
  • Punter Nik Hunchak – VI Raiders
  • Kick returner Brandon Poulin – Valley Huskers

The offensive all-Canadians will be named Thursday.

The 112th Canadian Bowl between the Langley Rams and Saskatoon Hilltops kicks off a 1 p.m. Saturday in Langley.
