Vees player tests positive

The BCHL Hockey League confirmed a Penticton Vees player has tested positive in a news release on its website, Saturday (Nov. 28).

The league says it received the notice on Friday evening regarding one unnamed player testing positive for COVID-19.

BCHL is reached out to the Provincial Health Office (PHO) for direction, as per their accepted safety plan and further instructions are stated to be conducted through Interior Health (IH).

All of the Vees have been placed in a 14-day quarantine, along with all other billets, team personnel and staff that have been in contact with the player will be tested as soon as possible.

The league stated that for privacy reasons, they will have no further comment at this time and a further update will be coming.
