Over the last decade, West Kelowna Warrior fans have helped hundreds of families have a brighter Christmas.
For the past 10 years, fans donating to pastor Don Richmond's yearly Christmas hamper drive have contributed enough donations to prepare 660 food hampers.
The Warriors and Tim Hortons are again hosting pastor Don's hamper drive tonight when they host the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at Royal LePage Place.
"The goal is to raise enough funds to provide 90 hampers to less fortunate West Kelowna families over the holidays," noted Warriors president Chris Laurie.
Fans are encouraged to make cash donations during the game. Each donation will be entered into a draw to win prizes throughout the night.
A dollar from every ticket sold will also be donated to the cause.
Money raised throughout the evening will be used to purchase all the fixings needed for a complete holiday meal.
Players will join pastor Don to bundle the hampers Monday, Dec. 13.
With the announcement by the province this week lifting indoor capacity limits for events, Royal LePage Place can now accommodate 100 per cent capacity for home games, with proof of full vaccination.
