West Kelowna Warriors president Chris Laurie has been recognized by the BC Hockey League.
At the league's recently concluded annual general meeting, Laurie was named co-winner of the league's Marketer of the Year.
He shared the award with Allison McCarthy, sales and events manager with the Trail Smoke Eaters.
Barry Douglas, chairman of the league's marketing committee, says Laurie's vast experience in marketing is paying off in West Kelowna.
"He has led the path to re-energize Warriors hockey in a major market in our league," he said.
The recognition comes just three months after the team was recognized as the Community and Public Service business of the year by the Greater Westside Board of Trade.
The league also named Victoria Grizzlies governor Ron Walchuk as Executive of the Year.
Meantime, the league says the 2022-2023 schedule has been approved by the board of governors.
The schedule will be unveiled Thursday, while details surrounding several special events will be released in the coming weeks.
