New Feature: Dear Cop

Dear Castanet Readers,

Castanet, in conjunction with Kelowna RCMP, are launching a new feature called Dear Cop! It will deal with questions Castanet readers might have about traffic issues. For instance: who has the right of way at a four way stop? What are the criteria on where radar traps are set up? Etc.

Personal inquiries will not be published.

Constable Rick Aselton of Central Okanagan Traffic Services will be responding to the inquiries on a weekly basis, which will be published on Castanet.

Please keep all inquiries brief and straight to the point.

Click here to email Constable Rick Aselton

Enjoy.

About the Author

Tim Schewe is a retired constable with many years of traffic law enforcement experience. He has been writing his column for most of the 20 years of his service in the RCMP.

The column was 'The Beat Goes On' in Fort St. John, 'Traffic Tips' in the South Okanagan and now 'Behind the Wheel' on Vancouver Island and here on Castanet.net.

Schewe retired from the force in January of 2006, but the column has become a habit, and continues.
