Cooking with Gwyneth

Gwyneth Paltrow treated her Instagram followers to an impromptu cooking lesson on Monday as she appealed for donations to support a New York meal delivery charity.

The Iron Man star invited her 6.9 million followers into her kitchen as she whipped up a vegetarian paella for her family, sharing video footage of the process online.

Paltrow, who is married to TV writer/producer Brad Falchuk, also provided a photo close up of the finished Spanish rice dish, which she served with a salad, sauteed shrimp, and some bread.

In the accompanying caption, the actress encouraged fans to consider supporting the work of volunteers who are continuing to run the God's Love We Deliver non-profit during the COVID-19 outbreak.

"Vegetarian Paella for the Faltrows in order to support @godslovenyc, an NYC non-profit that cooks and home-delivers medically tailored meals to individuals living with serious illness," she wrote.

"This post is for you, NYC. God's Love needs our help right now to be there for their clients during the coronavirus pandemic."

Paltrow has been using her platform each week to highlight the efforts of different organizations in the fight against the coronavirus, previously calling for donations for the Frontline Responders Fund, to provide urgently-needed personal protective equipment to medical staff treating COVID-19 patients.
