Prince's purple palace in Beverly Hills is up for grabs at just shy of $30 million.
The late music icon painted the place he rented from basketball star Carlos Boozer with purple stripes in 2005, and then completely revamped it - much to the owner's distaste.
"He discovered that Prince had changed almost everything about his house," TopTenRealEstateDeals.com marketing co-ordinator Terry Walsh tells WENN. "His beautiful furnishings were gone and replaced by black-and-purple everything. The weight room was now a disco dance floor with a DJ booth and his bedrooms converted to a hair salon and massage parlor."
Boozer threatened to sue, but Prince returned everything back to the way it was when he first rented the home.
Today the mansion is on an estate comprising the main house and an English Tudor home, along with two extra parcels of land making up the total compound of 2.15 acres. The palatial main house has 10 bedrooms, a ballroom, wine room, large terraces for entertaining with city and ocean views, a rooftop tennis court, indoor gym and sports court, and a pool with a stone grotto reminiscent of the one at the Playboy Mansion.
Built in 1953, the place was once owned by actress Elizabeth Taylor.
The mansion is also up for lease at $80,000 per month. The estate is brokered by The Oppenheim Group, West Hollywood.
