Tiger Woods has tweeted for the first time since his horrific car crash, thanking his golfing peers for paying tribute to him by wearing red on the green.
The sportsman took to Twitter on Sunday to write: "It is hard to explain how touching today was when I turned on the tv and saw all the red shirts. To every golfer and every fan, you are truly helping me get through this tough time."
Woods required surgery on his right leg and shattered ankle following the smash near Rancho Palos Verdes, California, on Feb. 23.
And as they competed in the final round of the WGC-Workday Championship in Bradenton, Florida, on Sunday, golfers including Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed, Andrew Putnam, Jason Day, Angel Yin, Tommy Fleetwood, Tony Finau, and Nelson Ledesma were among those honoring Woods in red tops.
