Pufferfish Toni Braxton enjoyed 'feeling light for a moment' on Masked Singer

Braxton gets 'unmasked'

The Masked Singer's latest eliminee told the judges that she enjoyed "feeling light for a moment" amid the darkness of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After stumping the judges with her identity, Toni Braxton was unmasked as the Pufferfish, and explained that due to having lupus, she'd had to take extra precautions when appearing on the program by wearing a face mask under the elaborate mask she donned for her on-stage character.

"I've been in the house the whole pandemic and I wanted to do something fun," she told host Nick Cannon in her exit interview. "I had to be extra precautious (sic) and wear a mask underneath the mask."

"Thank you guys, I had so much fun. You took me from being so scaredy-cat and thinking about this whole thing that's going on in the world. It was nice to feel light for a moment."

Earlier in the evening, actress Vivica A. Fox was unveiled as Mother Nature, with the judges once again failing to guess her identity.

"This has been exhilarating," she said after her unmasking. "I have to pinch myself. I've done so many things in my career and I've never done anything like this before. And I had fun! I want to say to the panel, you are all amazing! Keep making dreams come true, I love you all."

Vivica and Toni were the second and third contestants voted off the U.S. TV talent show, with basketball star Dwight Howard the first to be eliminated from this series.
