NBC's Joey Gets A Full Season

JOHN PALYOK, the 31-year-old Home Depot sales manager from Los Angeles and MIA GALEOTALANZA, the 30-year-old finance manager from Tom's River, New Jersey, were voted off Survivor: Vanuatu -- Islands of Fire in a surprising double dose of Tribal Councils last night. John P. and Mia were both victims of younger versus older alliances within their respective tribes.

"Joey" is doing OK without all those friends, so NBC gave the "Friends" spinoff a full-season pickup Thursday. The network ordered at least nine additional episodes of the sitcom starring Matt LeBlanc, who moved over to his own show after "Friends" wrapped its decade-long run.

'Law & Order" has lost its 14-year stranglehold on the 10 p.m. Wednesday timeslot — thanks to newcomer "CSI: New York." For the second straight week, "CSI: New York" steamrolled "L&O" in head-to-head competition.

AVRIL LAVIGNE's youngest fans will be thrilled to hear that she's recorded a version of the Spongebob Squarepants theme song for the soundtrack of the upcoming Spongebob movie. The soundtrack will be out November 9th, the movie arrives in theaters November 19th. Avril is the only pop act on the soundtrack album, which features alternative rock bands.
